The Inn, was named after the Loggerhead Sea Turtles that come to the Island every year to nest.  If your lucky enough, you may see tracks leading to a nest on the dunes (BUT PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB).  Also, PLEASE fill in your holes when you leave the beach!! The city enforces fines for encroaching on the dunes, and the balance of the turtles existence depends on unspoiled nests and clear paths to them.   You can always visit the wonderful people at the turtle hospital, located on the south end of the Island in Topsail Beach. www.seaturtlehospital.org
